How to Read an Automatic Pool Cover Warranty
An automatic pool cover warranty is a stack of documents, not a single sticker on the motor. Fabric, webbing, tracks, and the drive often carry different years and different exclusions. Read the papers before deposit. This page is a reading method. It is not a warranty from this site and it does not invent coverage years.

What to separate on the page
Find who warrants what: manufacturer versus installer. Find which part the year applies to. Find whether labor is included. Find the care rules that void the claim. If those four lines are missing, you do not have a complete warranty yet.
Warranty reading checklist
Ask for the documents that will ship with your serial numbers, not a brochure excerpt. Keep them with the commissioning notes.
| Line to find | Why it matters | Red flag |
|---|---|---|
| Part list and years | Fabric is not the motor | One number for "the system" with no parts |
| Labor versus parts | A free part with paid travel is still a bill | Silence on who pays the visit |
| Required care | Pumps, chemistry, and inspections may be conditions | Verbal "just keep it clean" |
| Transfer rules | Resale value depends on this | Voids on sale with no process |
| Safety-cover claim | A torn sheet is not the tested system | Warranty photo used as a walk-on permit |
| Who to call first | Installer versus factory | Two companies pointing at each other |

What this site will not do
It will not quote a brand's year as if it applied to every install. It will not tell you a claim will be paid. If you need a preliminary read on system type, use the advice form. Warranty disputes belong to the issuer and the installer of record.
What to read with this page
Use the parent hub for the product family, then stay inside this cluster for the decision you still have open. The related cards below are the three pages that usually settle the next question without sending you back to a generic search.
If travel is already unsafe, leave the guide and open repair. If you need a preliminary system read, use request system advice with photos of both ends and both long sides.
How to read the exclusions
Look for chemistry, standing water, ice, walking, missing annual care, and mixed parts. Those lines decide whether a stain is a claim or an owner cost. Ask for the booklet before deposit, not after the fabric looks tired.
常见问题
- Does an annual inspection keep the warranty valid?
- Only if the document says so. Keep invoices either way. Inspection is still good ownership when no warranty remains.
- Is a longer fabric warranty always better?
- Compare exclusions and labor. A long year that voids on chemistry or standing water can be weaker than a shorter, clearer one.
- Does a fabric warranty cover the motor?
- Usually no. Warranties are layered. Read each part's term and what voids it.
