How to Clean an Automatic Pool Cover
Cleaning an automatic pool cover means rinsing debris off the top side while the fabric stays in both tracks. Work from the deck. Soft water and a fabric-safe cleaner are enough for most pollen and dust. Harsh solvents, pressure washers, and walking the sheet to scrub are how covers tear or leave a rail.
What you can do from the deck
Confirm the cover is fully closed and still in both guides. Rinse leaves toward the housing or the far end, whichever the installer named. Lift debris with a soft brush or a leaf rake that never hooks the webbing. Let the sheet dry before you open it if grit is still sitting in the folds.
Cleaner rules

When cleaning is not the job
