Recessed Top Track Automatic Pool Covers
A recessed top-track automatic pool cover lowers the guide into a cut in the deck so the rail sits below the walking surface. It is a remodel choice, not a hidden undertrack. What recessed top track is

What the channel must provide
The recess needs a path for water out, a fastener that will not rot in a wet slot, and a way to lift or open the cover of the channel. A sealed decorative strip with no access is a future failure. Keep the leading edge square. A low rail does not forgive standing water on the fabric.
