Pool Cover Project Specification Checklist
A cover specification is a list of decisions that have to survive contact with concrete. Track, housing, drainage, drive, coping, and any safety-cover claim belong on one sheet before excavation finishes. This checklist is for builders and owners who need to see the gaps in a bid.
How to use this checklist
Walk it with the drawings, not with a brochure. If a line is blank, the cover is not specified yet. A low equipment price with empty housing and electrical lines is not a cheaper system.
Specification checklist
Every line should have an owner in the bid. Copy the list into your project notes.

What this checklist is not
It is not a manufacturer cut sheet and not a contract. The cover installer still does a takeoff. Use the RFQ page when you are ready to send the same scope to more than one supplier.

Minimum sheet set for a coverable pool
A plan view with the housing end marked, a section through the box, a coping detail with track type, and a note for power or hydraulic. If those four are missing, the pool is not specified for a cover yet.

- Do I need this on a retrofit?
- Yes. Retrofits skip undertrack more often, but housing, drain, drive, and safety claims still have to be named.
- Where does this sit relative to the builder hub?
- The builder hub is the audience brief. This page is the spec list. Construction coordination is the trade split.
- Can a landscape plan replace the cover sheet?
- No. Planting and furniture do not size a pit or a drain. Attach the cover sheet to the construction set.
